WW2 U.S. safe conduct pass
A safe-conduct pass from World War II.
Safe-conduct passes were used to designate German soldiers who were willing to surrender. Such a soldier was to be treated as a prisoner of war (POW), making him eligible for certain standards of humane treatment as required by the Geneva Conventions of 1929.
These passes were dropped by air over German lines.
This particular version is the so called “ZG90-1945” version.
ZG90 was dropped from December 1944 to April 1945.
Condition isn’t new and came out of a old scrapbook.
