WW2 U.S. coffee cup and saucer
Not many around anymore, because of its vulnerability.
A WW2 U.S. coffee cup and saucer that most likely belonged to an officer.
Can’t image that the normal G.I. would use this in the field.
The set is nicely decorated with gold color motives and the saucer also wears the U.S. army symbol.
On both the cup and saucer the bottom side is marked with maker.
It seams that they are made in Bavaria, Germany.
My guess is that it is late war and made for the occupation force.
Some small chips from the gold decoration, but in overall good condition.
