WW2 US P-38 can opener

This is a small can opener that was issued with single tinned rations.
A lot of individual GI’s had one with him.

It is small, can be folded and has a hole so it could be attached to, for example , the chain were also the persons identification plates were on.

Nice little personal ration item!
